The gods (point spread makers) Must be Crazy

Posted by NorthDallasSooner on November 27th, 2009 under Football

Everyone agrees that Zac Robinson will play and Oklahoma (not State) is a 10 point favorite? Huh?

Honest to God, I thought OSU would be a two touchdown favorite.

Why?

Well, 29 straight at home. 65-2 in the Stoops era at home.

But, c’mon, OSU is apparently rubber stamped for the BCS if they win and Oklahoma was so listless, and seemingly mentally shot last week, that this line makes no sense at all.

We’re going to start a walk on at center Saturday. We struggle to run the ball while OSU allows under 70 yards a game rushing (according to ESPN tonight). So, how is it that we’re supposed to win by 10+?

Is Gundy lying? Is Robinson out?

If Robinson isn’t out then the point makers think OU is much better than it is.

I’m not so down on the program that I think the sky is falling, I just think that this team has had so much mental and emotional weight on it that it’s not unexpectable that they’ve shut it down.

So, I have no idea whatsoever what will happen at Saturday Brunch in Norman. I guess I’ll just have to watch.

  1. I actually like OU here. OU has been good at home all year. OSU is not that great. ATM was a 20 point underdog at OU and I wouldn’t think that OSU is 10 points better than ATM.

NDSooner, I agree with you. I was not surprised that OU was favored, but 10 points? Damn! I expected to see a 1 or 2 point line or even a pickem.
